DVR / NVR

Shop DVR and NVR recorders at Vertex Supplies to complete a CCTV installation. We stock 4, 8 and 16 channel options from Dahua, Hikvision, HiLook, Viper, Hizone Pro, Eagle, Ajax and our own Vertex Security & Lighting range. Buy one unit or fit out a multi-site contract.

Search for security recorder, video recorder or CCTV DVR and you land on the same range here. We stock recorders to match the cameras you run.

Start with your camera type. A DVR connects analogue or HD-TVI cameras over coax cable. An NVR takes IP or PoE cameras over a network cable, often powering the cameras through the same lead. Many Dahua and Eagle models are penta-brid or hybrid. One recorder accepts TVI, AHD, CVI, CVBS and IP cameras together, which helps when you upgrade an older analogue system without re-cabling. Match the channel count (4CH, 8CH or 16CH) to your number of cameras. Check resolution support (2MP, 5MP, 8MP/4K) against your camera specs. Confirm whether the unit ships with a hard drive or needs one adding. Our AcuSense and HiLook models add facial recognition and PoE ports for a tidier install. We also stock Connectix rack cabinets for mounting recorders in a comms cupboard or server room.
